For those members who wish to enter or return to the workforce, Wellness Connections offers a range of programs designed to help achieve that goal.
We strongly believe in providing members with the right tools for success, including hands-on, real life training that can be transferred to the workplace.
Because Wellness Connections is so committed to this role, we have established two peer-run businesses, with a third on the way.
The Comfort Café to Go at our Sierra Vista location offers both members and staff healthy food options, including meals to go. Every aspect of the business is peer run.
The café is currently working on offering catering services to the general public, in particular local businesses.
In Safford, Appliance Connections is an appliance repair service and retail store fully operated by our members.
Both of these businesses offer a variety of training opportunities, from managing inventory and food preparation, to accounting and leadership skills.
And soon we will launch our new Growing Well program, where members will learn how to grow their own healthy food.
Growing Well will include a garden at our Sierra Vista center, which will eventually supply fresh herbs and produce to the Comfort Café, as well as to local farmers’ markets and restaurants.
